note to self

Dear self,

2011 is tomorrow. 2010 has indeed been a great year for you, in case you forgot. you have been to Australia on a whim, threw your career that you despised (then) to become a babysitter to a wonderful boy (that you are missing quite much n thank god for the videos of him that u sempat amik haha is that even allowed kak aliya? ;p)and being a part of a good little family in Frankston. You met a few friends that you certainly humbled by their good values, appreciate your relatives and amazed at Allah's wonderful creations on the other side of the world. I believed you went for a soul searching, and i wonder if you have found what you have been looking for. Or maybe if you still havent find it, go for another soul searching journey? Tettt.

Anyways, you've entered a new chapter or rather, the next chapter of your life; you were proposed, got engaged within 2 months after you were safely home and are due to get married in July 2011 inshaAllah. You've got urself a wonderful husband to be insyaAllah ;) keep on reminding yourself on that n keep on improving urself and pray to Allah for His blessing and for the journey to get there to be easier. Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli haal..

Youve got a job, alhamdulillah.. now you can save/ spend for your wedding :) although its ..urm... well,, watever but at leastt, you have an income. so alhamdulillah..

you have identified your weaknesses but did you do anything about it? if you know how to, lets get it fixed. if you dont, well, just continue to find the solution and be positive.

you have reached to that time of life where u start asking the FAQ: what do i wanna do for the rest of my life? what am i good at? do i even have a talent to brush up?

truthfully speaking, this is scary. partly because it'd be great if u figured those out when ure like 18 and not 26 (cey tanak ngaku. baru bday kot aritu!), and partly bcuz well, how are u gonna figure that out? and the most scariest is, so whats next?

oh well, its not actually touring around the world, walking runways (apehal ingat kau model ke?), went to the moon - those totally awesome kind of yr, but heck, your life has been mundane all this while and a little twitch here and there just made your life a little bit awesome (by your own standard of course ;p).

so what comes next?

marriage? new career (i WISH!!) ? new place to start over? (I WISH!!)

Whatever that may happen, its a new year, honey (bajet darling). promise me that come what may, always take the time to feel happy and fortunate. dont waste days with "what could have beens" and "what should have beens" because those things dont matter. Go figure out on what does matter and do something about it :)

Happy new year to you. As usual, dont announce your new yr's resolution, its embarassing cuz its the same as last year's :p

its the end of the year

can u believe it?

omaigod feels like 100 years havent been writing in blog. like actually write. or type, for that matter.

mashaAllah suddenly its december now huh? time flies so fast we lost track of it, drowned in the daily routines. complaints? i hv lots of them but lets just keep it inside. updates? omg there's just so much to update on. this upcoming trio wedding is really exciting and tiring (for my eyes for browsing on b2b* blogs, and other websites on essentials for wedding or rather non-essential things :p)

spending more time browsing the net as a bride to be (ehem), gives me insight that there's just so much to do (and of course to spend!) for a wedding - whether u want it to be unique - reflects urself/ personality, or if u want it to be memorable like a fairytale style or if u want it to be grand, or sweet and nice - everything is there on the internet. i guess blogger dah kaye now since most of the wedding service providers are using blogger instead of .com. . rupenye ade sgt byk blog b2bs!! tips from the b2bs blogs are also very2 helpful. omg seriously these b2bs are so rajin like ya Allah rajinnye kau lipat2 crane 1000pcs and gantung2! haha but i guess, (some) girls would always go to certain length to get what they want. anyways, on the other side, Islam specifically said that a barakah wedding is the one with least expenses. hmm i mean its quite clear on that. then again its a matter of preference and whther u have the means for it. asalkan tak membebankan ur future spouse and most importantly ur parents sudah.. ke ape?

me? haha i can never pull a grand wedding thats a given. so me n imang (n takudin) are planning to have something thats just.. nice. a wedding that brings comfort to the relatives n friends to hang around and catching up with each other, a wedding that is free of hassle (caterer n pelayan adalah wajib) and of course, a wedding that we the pengantinss will be happy and comfortable in :)

i guess im just another b2b trying to record or keep track of whatever preparation she's going thru. haha. that, or im just being a blogger. hehs.

anyways. only 1 box can be checked now: photographer ! me and imang berdarah2 mata (over) tgk2 blog2 photographer sana sini. some of them put in too much editing in their work, jadi pics nampak superficial - takmo. some other angle lawo gile but sket2 buat gamba style photo lama (kalo sikit2 takpe tapi kalo dh sume? booringg..) so,, takmo gak. and of course, there are always the one yg superb, the technique, the setting, bla3 evyrthings is nice but poket gua tak nice.. soo tak dapek la T_T. and then one fine day imang told me to checkout this newlyweds photograper. initially we memang kalo bleh nak yg mcm daniel zain -ish.. gamba cerah, cahaya cantik. speedlight dihalakan ke arah yg betul, bukan ke subject directly (ceh mcm la aku terer no phptogaphy stuff ) . so i went to this newlyweds blog and.. wahh cantik2! terus terpikat and straight away i sent them email for quotation. surprisngly their price is sgt affordable! alhamdulillah.. terus book straight away huahua dah la theyre so nice, very accomodating :)

shit. im starting to sound like other b2bs out there! oklah then, b4 i become worse, i better sleep now. a long day ahead in a few hours.

its maal hijrah yesterday. another year wiser i hope, inshaAllah. please pray for me :)

a peek before eid

yesterday i bought an RM19.95 temporary work shoes! so happy :) alhamdulillah
oh but of course, got it from a cheap2 shop so nevermind the brand :p (or the quality/ comfort for that matter) hm but if this shoe behaves so well i might be wearing it for a long time :)

my old one was rosak already, one of the heels was broken, so i was in dire need to buy one. hehe alhamdulillah for the deepali sale that was stil ongoing at that shop.

it was weird eversince i came back from oz (that was very long ago it seems) i seem to be losing my appetite for shopping. haha seriously its weird. (but money stil disappearing very2 quickly i wonder why)

okla i'm at office still and tomorrow's raya haji. need to go back to work now.

seriously considering on trying the Red Velvet Recipe given by Uswah last week. hopefully can serve it tomorrow for the eid.

weekend finally and tomorrow work ady

phew. after 2weeks of adjusting and trying to gobble evrything at work i finally had my weekend!
i dunno where to start but my work is kinda overwhelming coz well,, i dont really know where to start! no, seriously, i dont know how, like ok now i have to do A, but boss said B is urgent but hey, C is due tomorrow so lets try to do E first cuz something gotta start sumewhere rite. so yeah WHERE to start?!! not to mention, how? haha so much for no-complaints rule after 3months of not complaining rite..

my work was kind of interesting coz its all about arbitration n arbitration is kinda interesting compared to conveyancing. haha. but my office is currently undergoing some revamping exercise , theyre like doing MAJOR changes evrywhere and now its actually the 'getting it done asap' part. so when i stepped in, its like evrything is urgent n in a very fast pace. im actually a slow-mo person id like to consider myself a sloth so that figures huh imagine a sloth masuk jungle full of swinging monkeys here and there. haha. no the sloth just dont fit in :( coz it cant :(

but hey a sloth can stil run ey? haha

well apart from managing arbitration cases to be held under/ at our centre, i also have to write papers. like research paper etc, with footnotes of references, articles no less. and.. when was the last time i wrote papers? yeah only like 3 years ago! haha so that kinda put a sloth in a mud kan, mcm sticky mud lagi susah nak bergerak haha.

anyways i was thinking, well, try to get this one paper done first, and the rest would come easier insyallah. and then i went to imang;s blog and i quote here:

office politics is also not a good way to motivate newcomers! like credit-stealer, etc.

so ini lah dia cincin belah rotan ekk. haha

alhamdulillah things are going well since i got back (so no more complaints on msian weather (n the damage to skin haha) ye alak!) . alhamdulillah ive got a job at KLRCA (Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration) and the workplace is quite near to my house, take about 10mins to get there if the road is not crowded n it would take (i guess) up to 1 hr if its really crowded esp at peak hours. yes i think its possible. hm

the workload quite challenging (kot) from wat the soon to be dept boss described n wat the letter offer said. i hv only glanced at the offer letter since collected it from the office last friday. hehe ntah ape je kept me busy all this time. tapi mmg penat. adakah alasan 'jetlag' masih boleh diterimapakai? ahahah ye2 sile pukul saye. but lately mmg agak bz ke sana ke mari uruskan urusan2 yg alhamdulillah selesai for now. hmm insyallah will start to work on 2nd august.

alhamdulillah 'ala kulli haal..

now cant wait for july 30th: nak jumpe layth n imam suhaib webb! (on 2 diff occassion of course haha)

hehe sgt jakun tgk ubat nih! haha. once i caught the flu, n kak aliya told me to buy codral (name ubat tu) so when i opened the package mcm sgt bes n sistematic je ubatnye siap ada tulis morning midday afternoon n night. yg malam tu lain sket sbb mengantuk kot kalo makan. tp bagus la, mcm sgt convenient kat kotak die pun mcm jelas2 je instruction die. heheh (tp cis saye terbeli kat kedai mahal when i can get same ubat n cheaper price! dh la like 5$ cheaper! cisss)

this was taken in a coffee shop nearby reservoir station, while waiting for mila to pick me up to essendon DFO. i reached the resevoir station around 8++. n it was SOOO freezing cold with ujan rintik2 n i dunno whre to go n i saw Coles (supermarket) so i was thinking of browsing around the supermarket while actually nak menumpang kasih heater kat dlm kedai. haha. then rupe2nye ade coffee shop sblah Coles tu dah bukak. terus la masuk n order cappucino. sgt layan okeh!! : hot cappucino, good book, country songs (the coffe shop was playing n i turned off my mp3 just to catch the 'local' feeling hahaha) yg okla bole tahan.

the malay food there was delishhh! ahh.. sgt bes n lega sbb masa tu sgt lapar!

2) singgah solat at Maimunah's Uni: RMIT

ok this picture sure doesnt look like im praying. haha. lupe nak amik gambo surau diorang. nway the uni was mcm best sbb mcm tgh2 city n it was like scattered all around the city all right yet stil interesting :)

3) GPO mall.
this place we managed to peek in. hehe cantik dalam die. so amik2 gamba sket n then off to the next destination.



4) DFO @ Spencer St
so sini banyak DFO (direct factory outlet) hehe. mmg bes la kalo shoping tanpa menghafal sifir 3 XD. hm tapi DFO south wharf lg bes (yg dlm prev post).

5) yarra
munah brought me to this place where they would lit up fire on weekend nights starting friday nite, saturday n sunday nite. emm several attemots were made to snap pictures of that fire but to no avail. all pictures were just pathetic haha but yeah.. here are some.

we waited for the fire to lit up while eating the Lord of the Fries. haha sedapnyee. definitely gonna miss it when im back in msia.

ok if u concentrate tgk atas pillar tuh ada mcm kaler kuning kecik kan. ha thats the fire baru nak start. dia mcm mula menyala kecik, lame2 makin besa. n this fire started right at 7pm. and only for few minutes saje. and on weekend starting friday sampai ahad punye malam.

3) IBC - qiyamullail with some locals
hehe the qiyamullail was eventful n fun as they involved their kids as participants of the program whereby the kids' suggestions were being taken into consideration as part of the program.

this is ..ok i cant remember the girl's name, she was reciting one surah she has memorized, sedap je bacaannye n full with confidence. upon finishing, ppl said: takbir! Allahuakbar!. hehe very encouraging wasnt it?

i made a fren named Tazkera.. she was sgt nice!! n apparently she grew up in KL, and rupenye she attended uia same ngan saya n i think grad on the same yr as mine. but terlupe nak amik gamba ngan die haha. hope to see her again b4 i go back :)

soon as the qiyam program finished in the morning, me & munah went back to munah's and i packed my stuffs n we boarded the train to Frankston where kak aliya will pick us up n bring us to the Philip Island.. huhu sangat bes coz finally i get to see the kangaroos!! oo yeah! n koalas! omg koalas are SOO cute!!! *pengsan*

ni mcm susah gak main. munah duk atas wheelchair and pastu kene gerakkan wheelchair tuh manually n depan tu ada mcm projector nye gamba kan, kene sampaikan kat lif. penat gile. baru tau rasa susah org naik wheelchair manual tuh. huhu


ni cam ada budak2 kat belakang dia buat bentuk diri sndri. haha klaka ek.

ni mcm boleh slide dr tempat tinggi tuh.. diorang sediakan baju oren tu supaye lagi licin. tapi saya tidak naik. haha malas beratur dan agak gayat

this is a choc machine, by inserting 2$ coins, we get to pick which/what flavour u want. n it will produce in 2mins roughly .

tanaa~ dah dpt dah chocolate nye. tp we picked cola flavour n rupenye takleh makan sbb ade alcohol .. haha saba je lah. abis 2$.

tak lupe juge aritu sempat membeli cookie perisa Mars n Snickers.
sgt sedap!!!! esp yg perisa mars tuh :)
